Hello! Advice desperately needed.
I'm six weeks pregnant. On Wednesday, I had a tiny amount of brown discharge (half a teaspoon-ish?). No real cramps or anything like that. I've not had any discharge or bleeding since then.
Then last night, I started to get some very mild cramps and twinges, and although these have gone this morning, I'm left feeling very tender all over my stomach, and I'm very 'aware' of my stomach.
I've been to my GP, and am waiting for a scan and blood test results.
I'm going out of my mind with fear about miscarriage - we've been trying for three years, and have been through IVF.
Any thoughts / any one been in the same situation? My GP said that I was probably having a miscarriage (although he didn't examine me, ask how much discharge there had been etc) so although the signs since Wednesday have been very mild, I suppose this is lodged in my head.
Thank you!

Hi There, I had a MC previously (at 8/9 weeks) and after a day of spotting I started getting really bad cramps and lost a lot of blood. I'm 20 weeks pregnant now and had a spot of blood at 6/7 weeks ish and thought I had cramps (although I may have been paranoid) and it was nothing. I think it may have been implantation bleeding. You are at the right stage of pregnancy for implantation bleeding so that's probably what this is. Please don't worry too much (easier said than done I know). x

Do you have a early pregnancy unit? I had a miscarriage and when I phoned to say I was bleeding I was scanned right away.

I'd push for some tests as lovesgsd says. It could be implantation though. I had killer pains around week 6 and the doctor suggested implantation pains. Best of luck xx

I agree that you can go to the Early Pregnancy Unit at the hospital for a scan if you've had bleeding. I did this twice (once it was a mc, one time it was fine).

When I had a mc, it was very red blood and lots of it. It started as brown blood and spotting but was bright red within a few hours.

Meanwhile my friend had two quite serious bleeds early on and both pregnancies were fine.

It's so hard to tell. I'd definitely go to the EPU if you can. And try not to panic too much as it isn't at all conclusive at this point.

I'm hoping for the best for you.
