Hi,

So hospital bag nearly packed! Hurrah ! The only thing I am really struggling to find is pj's I plan on breast feeding. Did anyone buy specific nursing pj's or just best tops etc? X

Haven't had my baby yet but I just got dark-coloured bottoms and am planning on just taking vest tops and nursing bras. Maybe a cardy to go over that for modesty!

I would get something with buttons down the front for hospital so you can have easy skin to skin after birth as well as breast feed.

I took mothercare button front strappy nightdresses & old pj bottoms. Thought the nighties would act as long tops. In the end had a section and catheter was in for a couple of days so I just wore the nighties.

I got M&S maternity PJ's for Christmas and they are great. They are on this page here

I used to wear breast feeding vests with the drop down bits. I used to get really draughty with button down things as I would have to undo extra buttons to make sure the top was out of the way and stuf. With the vests there is no draught. I had some from mothercare and they still have enough use in them this time round and I've not stopped wearing them until my bump was big. So been well worth it.

I bought nice posh pjs for the early weeks. More lounge wear yoga pants, vest, long line cardigan type affair was brilliant as was comfy but if someone popped in I was sort of dressed Grin also bought matching slippers. I know it's NOT a fashion parade but I liked feeling a bit together IYSWIM.

I always wore tops I could pull down and just popped a big scarf or blanket over my shoulder if in company.

Good luck Smile

I've bought M&S ones, as well as one from FatFace which is has open buttons, in cotton and very comfy. I might buy a Jasper Conran one too, and I've heard they are currently half price in Debenhams!

I went to primark last week to get some hospital stuff. Was pleased to find a couple of knee length nighties with loads of buttons down the top part for breast feeding. Am more of a pj girl usually tbh, but at £4.50 they'll do the job! Vaguely pretty too!

NAR4 · 11/01/2013 22:23

I bought some from Sainsburys a couple of weeks ago. They are dark bottoms and the top buttons 3/4 of the way down.

Last time though I just bought some dark coloured bottoms and a vest top, which did the job fine.

blondieminx · 11/01/2013 22:35

I was going to say Mothercare ones - popped on the site to grab a link but see that they are now only selling "blooming marvellous" ones which have tshirt style tops which would be crap for breast feeding in. Such a shame. I had 2 pairs from them a few years back where there was a vest with clippy drop front and a wrap top to go over, and lovely lovely long trousers.

eBay might be worth a look if that sounds like what you want!

FayeKorgasm · 11/01/2013 22:39

Floosie at debenhams are lovely. I'm wearing some now.

Not silly money and v pretty. You want to look fabulous !

mrsgordonfreeman · 11/01/2013 22:57

TK Maxx have some nice sets in, or they did a couple of weeks ago. Lovely soft fabric with buttons at the front and a drawstring waist. Ellen Tracy I think they're called.

lolo99 · 11/01/2013 23:05

What size pjs should you buy- I know they say per preg size but in maternity. Is that the same for late weeks eg 37 plus?
