i have kind of lost track of how many weeks pregnant i am Blush

i had an EDD of 9 july from midwife, based on LMP and their little wheel. then the 12 week scan put my EDD at 3 july. so which date should i be using now? i know that babies come when they are ready, but for the purposes of a possible ELCS, which date would they use?

They tend to use the 12 week scan date as some women have shorter or longer cycles and baby has a window if a few days for conception - they will probably make a decision on ELCS nearer the time with monitoring.

thank you, is there any way of working out the possible EDD from conception date (though i realise that this could be a few days after the 'event'!).
and should i now book all future MW appts based on scan date rather than her date? i should know all this but was never this far out with dates before!

The scan date will be used, the MW will write the agreed date in your notes. Lucky you going forward, I went back 8 days!

They'd go with the scan's revised EDD, because it's more accurate than the LMP one (I had quite a big adjustment to dates with my first pregnancy).

I use this site to see how far along I am: www.pregnology.com/faralong.php

If your EDD is 3 July, you are currently 15+2

go by the scan EDD as its more accurate. midwives judge the due date by the beginning of your last period which can make them very wrong. the midwives say im 10 weeks which im going by when asked how far gone i am, but i know when i go for my scan in 2 weeks that i will be less than the midwives have said. and congratulations :) xxx
