I'm 39.5, and am very happy to have made it thus far after a threatened pre-term birth at 28 weeks.

However, over the past 2 weeks my feet and hands - particularly my hands - have become swollen and the joints sore. My MW tells me this is normal at this stage. I'm waking through the night with pins and needles/numbness in both hands as well as daily discomfort.

Is there any way to relieve this swelling?

Do I continue as normal, or rest more?

Beginning to worry it could be something more untoward, ie, pre-eclampsia, even though my BP and urine were fine at last check.

Maybe googling isn't the best thing to do, perhaps...

Thanks in advance for any replies.
