Mine was 1mm. I believe everything under 2.5mm is considered normal but it is only an indication and has to be combined with blood test results. My Down's chances came back at 1 in 100,000, which I am over the moon about considering I am 34 Grin

Dogsmom · 11/01/2013 11:56

Mine was 2mm, bloods came back as 1:5300 which I was pleased with as I'm 37 and had read on some website it was likely to come back around 1:112.

DD is due in 8 weeks so I shall find out for certain then whether she is affected or not, 20 week anomaly scan didn't flag anything up so I'm feeling confident she'll be ok.

I think mine was 1.3mm and was told anything under 3mm was 'normal', my blood test came back with 1:57000 which at 33 I was more than happy with as age risk was 1:300.

i am still waiting for my results to come back...
can i ask how long did you have to wait to get the combined risk?

curlyclaz13 · 11/01/2013 13:36

I had the blood tests at 12 weeks and was told they wouldn't be in touch unless came back high risk, I saw my mw at 16 weeks and she told us then. I think they said it only takes 3-4 days for the results though.

Shelley I haven't got my bloods back yet I only had them taken today, an clinic lady said it would be up to two weeks in form of letter or phone call but the measurement was in scan report from thismorning. The sonography said that from what she could see there were no problems with baby x

thank you, i had my scan two weeks ago and the sonographer didnt say very much at all actually, even wouldnt tell me if nasal bone was present as they dont use this as an indicator at our hospital any more. the consultant afterwards did say that 1.6mm was encouraging but i would be contacted by either letter or phone. but given my age (40) i really do want the results sooner rather than later in case we have to consider further tests.

TinkyPeet · 11/01/2013 14:39

If you haven't had a phone all by now I would say that is positive news :) xx

You could always phone the hospital for your results too x

Shelley I had my 12 week scan on 14th December and the letter arrived between Christmas and New Year.
My MW told me if you were high risk you would be contacted sooner so I would say 2 weeks is a good sign [happy]

I am even making my own emoticons up now! God damned baby brain! [idiot]

shelley72 · 14/01/2013 13:40

quick update from me, had a letter from hospital at the weekend and i am scored as 1:2093. much higher risk than last pregnancy at 37 but i suppose thats to be expected. feel i can relax a little bit now and wait for the baby to start moving so i know all is ok in there!
