I've had all my bookings with midwife sorted till DC is due in early may but I don't think we've been booked in for the GD test - think it was 28 weeks with DD1 but that was 4 years ago - have things changed?

Hi there

I had mine at around 28 weeks but not everyone gets one. Its only if you are high risk so maybe they don't consider it necessary for you?

Here they do the routine bloods at 28 weeks and if your glucose comes back as high only then do they do the fasting glucose tolerance test...

My hospital do it at 28 weeks as standard if your BMI is over 35, if not it will only be done if they think its necessary.

I had one at 23 weeks. Was told at booking in appointment that I would have to have one.

I just got a monitoring machine and did my own tests.
