Stretching aches/pains

I'm 15 weeks pregnant - this is my third pregnancy but the previous two have ended in miscarriage, one at 9 weeks and one at 5 weeks. I'm very very frightened that something will go wrong again. This fear is making me very anxious.

Anyway, for the last week or so I've been getting kind of stretching aches and pains in my lower abdomen and almost along my bikini line. Occasionally these are more like stabbing pains. I was just wondering if anyone else has has these? Do you think they are 'normal'? Or could they be a sign of a miscarriage?

Thanks for your time.

Hi these sound normal to me. It's uterus stretching as ur baby grows. It sounds like round ligament pain which I started getting around 15 weeks to :-) congratulations xx

Thank you - I just wish I could relax a bit and stop thinking the worst all the time. I think they make me worry cause I got some horrible pains shortly before I started bleeding with the first miscarriage so I'm always worried that an ache or pain is the start of something bad. But I keep telling myself that now I'm in the second trimester, my chances of everything being ok this time are quite good.

I had the same around 15 weeks too. It was just stretching and my midwife said not to worry.

I am also 15 weeks (and also suffered 2 mc about same time as you) and I have also been getting lots of stretching pains in last few days. Started pregnancy yoga this week so thought that might be it, also hoping the yoga will help with pains as I get bigger

Good luck x
