I got it, am 33 wks & it doesn't work for me but it does take midwife quite a while to find baby's heartbeat due to bad positioning so maybe I am not patient enough?!

KatieRogers12i4 · 12/01/2013 06:52

Yes is I did!! it's really amazing! i took about 6-7 minuts the first time just to find Nathan's heartbeat! by once i did i was awesome..never knew u can do that with an app!

leannac - it's says it's only for the 3rd trimester. so i would keep trying!! sometime the baby is turning inside and it's harder to find the hearbeat...I hope you will!!!

It doesn't work on an iPhone 5 so sadly I can't try it Hmm

I just get lots of interference. DH thinks he heard it but too difficult to tell. You can't use your iPhone headphones either so we used some cheap headphones not sure if that contributed to the interference

Heavywheezing · 19/01/2013 10:58

I used it. It took a lot of moving round to do it but it did work. A good idea if you are worried?

eagleray · 19/01/2013 11:13

No - definitely not a good idea if you are worried. If you have concerns about the health of your baby, please call MW or hospital

Littlemissexpecting · 19/01/2013 11:50

I agree NOT a good idea if you are worried. I downloaded it for a bit of fun, not expecting to hear anything.
I am a worrier but would never rely on an app, or even a home Doppler to put my mind at rest.

Heavywheezing · 19/01/2013 17:15

My sil who's a gp, had a home Doppler, borrowed from surgery, who noticed that her baby's heart rate had dropped. Had the baby same day.her placenta was giving up.baby born at 35 weeks. She told me to get a Doppler so I could listen.

I wouldn't rely on this if you are worried, and it is debatable whether it works, but it could be useful.
