hi love tom. already have a ds called tommy and dp is also tommy (thomas if i need his attention)

snowleopard · 19/04/2006 15:10

All the boy babies I know seem to be called Sam or Tom, so I'd choose Alfie.

thirtysomething · 19/04/2006 15:14

all 3 v. popular where I live, Alfie the least commonly used but lots of Alfie amongst babies/toddlers rather than school age so could be on the increase! Tom and Sam good as they could always revert to Samuel or Thomas if they grow up with a very posh job!! Think Tom probably slightly less prevalent than Sam around here. I love all three, probably Tom the most though!

Enid · 19/04/2006 15:14

god please let this baby be a girl

still no boys name here

Rhubarb · 19/04/2006 15:14

Alfie
Sam
Tom

In that order.

NatalieJane · 19/04/2006 15:14

Also agree with the 'microtrends', I don't know another Tom, Thomas, Sam, Samuel, or Alfie around here (do know some others but not in our area)

Tortington · 19/04/2006 15:17

sam

pooka · 19/04/2006 15:18

Enid - girls names are so much easier to choose, aren't they? I had loads in mind if ds had been a girl, even having already had a girl. And only one choice for a boy.

Tortington · 19/04/2006 15:21

Not Alfie.

I like both Sam and Tom (DD might have been one of those, had she been a boy)

thomas is very very popular round here.
A friend's son Thomas is one of five in his class!!
If you don't mind that (and you might not) then it's a fine name.

Enid · 19/04/2006 15:49

Alfie and Sam mega popular here, tom less so now

Angsthase · 19/04/2006 15:54
