Hi does anyone know of a homeopathic remedy for threadworm? My son has been diagnosed and he and my husband have taken the relevant medicine, but I am 8 weeks pregnant!

no help i'm afraid, you'd probably be best asking in the health shop, have you checked with the doctor that you definitely can't take the normal worming stuff?

Fraid there's nothing. Both my daughter's have had it. The best thing to do is trim those nails. Don't put anything in your mouth that's been near his fingers. Give him the medicine then give him a wash tonight, change his bedding tomorrow morning. Seriously don't put your fingers in your mouth. Takes a while to get used to it.

HTH - by the way, am 35 weeks pregnant so fully understand.

Have you definitely got them? Our 4YO did but she was the only one in the family. On GP's advice, me and DH didn't dose ourselves bcs we didn't have itchy arses (sorry to be indelicate)

thanks everso much for your replies and advice. You are right it is really hard not putting your hands in your mouth! I guess I will be doing lots of washing!

I was pregnant when I got threadworms - about 35 weeks. The Dr didn't know whether to treat me for it or not and chose to wait until after the baby was born. Turns out I COULD have taken pripsen, and it would have been a lot easier than stopping bfing for 2 days with a baby at 6 weeks old, then trying to get started again!
