I had two very fast labours. (3iah hours) and 1 hour to the exact minute with dd2 (giving birth just 20mins after getting to hospital. We want another next year and midwives said its highly likely I won't make it to hospital with a third....

This is my worry, ds1 was 3 hours, ds2 was 20 mins! I live 45 mins from hospital which is in a seaside town and am due in July! I asked about induction as ds2 was quite poorly at birth from the fast labour amongst other things, will more than likely be induced anyway due to high blood pressure.

Could you opt for a home birth?

They've advised I do, but it's me that feels nervous about it when the time comes... Just if something goes wrong. I know it's always risky anyway but feel safer in hospital...

I had a pph after dd1.. But with dd2 I only lost 300mls and was up having a shower an hour later.

But saying that I'd rather give birth at home than in the car at the hospital carpark?!

My labour with DS1 was 4.5 hours and then 1.5 hours with DS2. With DS3 the GP said it would probably be 45m. 45m into my 2h labour with DS3 I was not impressed that he was still in there!
