HELP! Ummm think I just lost some of my plug!!

I'm 36 weeks went for yet another wee, wiped and there is was a stringy lump of snotty stuff! Is that it? I don't remember loosing it with DD so must have missed it somewhere! I'm 36 weeks...... Do I need to do anything?? X x

It might be part of the plug but to be honest heavy discharge at this stage if very common. Term is 37 weeks and might be a week or so before anything else happens to I would not be concerned.

The plug can renew itself. It's like a big blob of bloody snot and by big I mean a palm full (sorry if tmi).

You don't need to do anything, it's very normal for it to go as your cervix begins to prepare for labour. It can take weeks to prepare btw.

Mine started coming away with ds2 at 26wks went into labour on my due date, labour is not usually imminent by the mucus plug its more likely to be when the full bloody show comes away, both labours mine come away about 3cm dilated (the blood one) so wudnt be concerned xx
