Why does it hurt to have sex now!

Hi ladies!
Bit of a personal one! I've had no sex drive whatsoever over the past few weeks, and now all of a sudden it's temporarily come back (not sure how long for!) but
it's so painful to do the deed! Like I mean painful to the point that I've cried...

My other half has been an angel as he has gone without for god knows how long...

I had this problem when I was on the pill, I came off and it went back to normal! It's confusing me so much... But we still have 18/19 weeks until baby is due and wondered if any other ladies have experienced this or are going through this too?

Sorry if this seems TMI, but does it hurt inside, or outside? I've suffered a bit with both; especially in certain positions. I did read that pregnancy can make you, erm, "dry up" a bit downstairs which could contribute to the pain. If you're concerned, have a chat with your midwife but I think it's a common pregnancy thing.

It's inside, but it hurts for about 5 minutes after I tell him to stop! It's confusing. But it doesn't hurt when I go to the toilet etc, so I highly doubt its an infection...
It's so bizarre!
