Hello,

I'm new to Mumsnet, so apologies if I'm posting in the wrong area! I'm 26 weeks pregnant with my first baby and am confused about whether sleep bags or traditional sheets and blankets are best for baby? What have other people done, and why did they make that choice?

Many thanks!

We have just made the switch to bags at 10 weeks old, got mine from The Essential One, wonderfully soft and snuggly and cheaper than grobag. Just look for ones with poppers under the arms so you can use them sooner.

Sleeping bags. Can't understand why anyone would choose to use blankets! They're so much easier, babies don't wriggle out and get cold, and they're safer. And they aren't really that expensive, just don't get gro-bags. H&M and sainsbury's do absolutely lovely ones for about half the price.
Just make sure you have a few- at least 2 i'd say- for leaky nappies and vomming accidents.
