Anybody from Sutton Coldfield or surrounding areas and will be giving birth in Good Hope?

Was born there along time ago...gave birth there 5 years ago.

I've given birth at good hope and live nearby. I had ds there 18 months ago. I'm a nurse and did midwifery training some years ago too so I am a pretty tough customer, but I was pleased with the care I received whilst in a very long and painful back to back labour. The care afterwards on the ward wasn't that great but then that's a different story.
Is that the reason you are asking? Smile

Hi
just had my booking in appt today and have put Good Hope down, I'm only about 15 mins away from there.
How far along are you ? x

I'm 21+4 now. I literally live the other side of Sutton to the hospital! But I've got so many mixed reviews!
I've heard all positives about c-sections, but not as many for all other aspects of birth! Also I had a problem with one of the sonographers! So hoping its easier as its a rough ride at the mo, and I'm only 18 myself! (19 day after baby is due!)

It was one of my options too but I opted for Burton, I too had heard mixed reviews and know a former midwife who used to work there and left midwifery all together because of so many bad experiences there.

She said there was a lot of abuse from women in labour, very short staffed and virtually impossible to get any doctors in 'on call' if there were problems overnight.

will need a section due to previous complications so fingers crossed ! i had my other two at solihull - 1st not a great experience, 2nd fine. now moved closer to good hope. my sis had her son at gh and thought it was great.
i hate it when you hear the horror stories about places !
