That's it really. It hurts low down constantly.

Ds was a big baby and back to back delivery. My back has been weaker since having him.

Not sure if this is just baby getting bigger and will settle or is likely to get worse?

Hey cupcake my lower back has been really sore for the past couple of days too I'm 14wks. Was wondering if its cos Iv gone back to work an been sat down at my desk all day. Last night when I got home it was rather painful even to sit on the sofa!!

I had really bad back pain for a while during pregnancy, I could barely walk. The baby shifted when I was about 20 weeks & the pain completely went. Was referred for physio but pain was gone by the time the appointment came up!

Is it ok to use a hot water bottle?

Mine was hurting cos the baby was in am awkward position, until I tried the pelvic inversion on Spinning Babies. After 3 goes, no more problems and been doing them at least once a day since. Will be checking out the other stretches that are recommended for all pregnant women (note there are specific ones for certain circumstances only, like a breech presentation). Also, check your posture and what you're sitting on - I find most sofas pretty terrible for my back in pregnancy. If you can get an exercise ball (aka birthing ball), that's great for getting into a good posture and also strengthening your core muscles that can help avoid any back strain.
