Just interested in your experiences. 12 week scan was perfect. We aren't having any screening apart from anomaly scan.

Hi Smiler
We had a gender scan done at 16 weeks.
We paid £90ish at Babybond.
Really great service. The sonographer took her time and we got some brilliant pictures.
Baby was being awkward, but eventually found out we were having a boy.
Well worth it!

We had a private gender scan at 17 and a half weeks. Was with Babybond as well and was excellent. Well worth the money in my opinion. We spent about half an hour and got some really detailed images of the baby. She confirmed it was a girl, pointed out the 3 white lines to indicate the baby was female. She said she wouldn't tell us unless she was confident to go out and baby pink baby things herself ;) She also said she had a 100% success rate and that if we were told differently at our NHS scan we could go back for another scan. You asked this the other day. Did you not get enough replies?

We got a gender scan at 18 weeks. Sonographer was lovely and when I asked her if she was sure about the gender she said yes she was very sure otherwise she would have got us back for another check. The scan was only about 5/10 minutes too, and was supposed to cost about £30 but ended up costing £84 as the boss wasn't in and the receptionist put through the wrong scan price so DP is waiting until their manager gets back tomorrow to see about getting the extra money back.

Was it just the gender being wrong that you were worried about?

I had a gender scan last week, at 16 weeks. The sonographer was confident that one Twin 1 was a girl, but kept waivering about how confident she was that Twin 2 is a boy as he kept flashing his bits, but the cord was in the way. I'm going back for a free scan tomorrow, just hope he is in a better position!

It was £60 and lasted 30 minutes, but as she was only 80-90% certain so I get to see them again.

With DD1 I had the 3d scan at 24 weeks and imo if I was only going to get the one scan I would wait until then. The sonographer flashed on the 3d bit but they both looked like aliens!
