Hi all,
Really hoping someone can help. Would just like to know either way.
I should be 4+6 today. Is my second pregnancy after a mmc at 8 weeks in October. So I am freaking out a bit. Thought I would reassure myself by doing another cb digi test, so I can see the weeks going up and keep myself sane.
So I did another test this morning. With fmu and everything, just to make sure. And it still says 1-2 weeks. Surely by now I should be at least 2-3 if not an early 3+? Okay 3+ would be a bit much, but definitely a 2-3, by at least 4 days?!
I phoned the doctors this morning, and they won't see me til I am 6 weeks. Just told me to wait it out.
Would be interested to hear anyone else's experience of this. Good or bad, I just want to know where I am really. Thank you.

I think the accepted deal is to do the test then not redo for another 7 days, its only a guideline and you are basing your dates on conception on day 14 followed by implantation 7 days later or so, but thats not always the case. Even if you ovulated on day 14 exactly you might not have conceived until day 17 then had implantation on day 26 as example.

What I'm saying is, its not a fine art!

IBelieveInPink · 04/01/2013 10:45

Sorry. Should have said, I did a test 7 days ago an it showed pg, 1-2. Today, 7 days later, is still showing the same.
Thank you for the reply though, much appreciated.

Pink I posted the exact same thread just after you. My gap was 5 days (sun-fri). I'm really stressing about it :(

beckslovestimmy · 04/01/2013 11:33

I thought you add 2 weeks to the CB digi to give you the date from LMP so 2 weeks + 2 weeks would've the 4 weeks you think you are? hope that helps Smile

LookBehindYou · 04/01/2013 11:36

Don't stress about this. The pee sticks will have different readings depending on the concentration of urine which can be affected by what you've eaten and drunk previously. I always found my afternoon pee to be more concentrated than the fmu. The line was much fainter than the previous same brand tests (cue HUGE STRESS) on the day my beta was 464.

cream tea just posted on your thread too! Hand holding!!

beck thanks, I had done that. 1-2 plus 2 means I should be 3-4 weeks. I am 4-5 if not 5. But thank you for thinking of it.

When did you test? First thing is best time. Meant to give you a stronger reading.

IBelieveInPink · 04/01/2013 12:22

Tested first thing. So should have been strongest possible reading. Thank you though

Don't stress to much I kept doing this eventually it went up but my 1-2 weeks stayed for a while and I worked out its because I just ovulated a bit later!! Really don't read to much into it everyone's hormone levels go up at different rates!! U r still showing as pregnant and ur very very early so I know it easy for me to say but don't worry. Im 19 weeks now and did the same as u did and was so worried it wasn't going up. Xx

LookBehindYou · 04/01/2013 12:50

FMU is not always the most concentrated as I said earlier. Stop stressing about this, although I appreciate that after a mc it's not the easiest thing to do.

JenaiMorris · 04/01/2013 12:59

Testing 7 days ago would (assuming these things give the gospel truth - they don't) have given 1-2 weeks. Testing a week later could also give 1-2 weeks, surely?

Test one: Day 7
Test two: Day 14

So both within the 1-2 weeks band.

And of course as username says, you don't actually know when implantation took place. I know that EPAU staff curse ovulation tests for example because they convince people that they know when conception and implantation must have taken place, when in face they really, really don't.

looneytune · 04/01/2013 12:59

Wasn't correct for me, said I was further gone than I was. I'm now nearly 17 wks, had a scan at 8 weeks and 12 weeks and both came up with the exact date I guessed I should have been which made me due later than what I would have been by the weeks pregnant it said I was. I personal wouldn't use those any more and I'd stop stressing :)

beckie90 · 04/01/2013 13:03

Mine said 1-2 weeks so 3-4weeks, however had my hcg at doctors next day and they said between 5/6 weeks which I was so I don't think they are reliable xx

Thank you all for your help.
