How many weeks were you? I had a m/c at 8 weeks and felt very much like you do, they said to wait 3 months, but I accidentally got pregnant within 2 months and the scanner at the early pregnany unit said "oh well done didn't you do well" (thought I might get my knuckles rapped) so I think the 3 months thing is standard but medically unecessary after an early m/c.

when I m/c'd four years ago the gp said I could start trying straightaway (I had m/c naturally, no d and c which may complicate things).

I did wait until I had had a period though just to feel 'back to normal' and also to date the pg from.

dd2 is now 3.5 Smile

oh that could be a good point enid, I didn't have a d and c either.

Sorry to hear about the miscarriage - and I do know what you mean about really wanting to get pregnant again, I felt exactly the same after my m/c last year.

My EPU had a really good nurse/counsellor, and she said that medically there is no reason why you shouldn't get pregnant straight away. They prefer one AF, simply for dating purposes, and the 3 months is more about emotional recuperation than medical reasons - but that's different for everyone.

The only thing to beware of is that it's much harder to get pregnant when you are stressing over it - I got pregnant only after what would have been my due date, and I don't think this is entirely an accident.

I had an ERPC on 31st March - the baby died at 8 weeks but only measured 6 weeks.

Was told to wait 2 months beofre trying but we haven't bothered. Wink

We waited for my first AF then TTC-took 4 months to fall PG again but I couldn't have coped with waiting and not actually TTC.

Good luck hun

Sorry to hear about your sad news.

I had a mc in nove 2004 when i was just 5 1/2 weeks, i never had a d&c either it happened naturally. I was sent to the hospital & i spoke to a doctor there who explained everything to me he told me to probably wait for one period so i could work out my dates.

We did not start trying till after 2 months but it did take us 5 months this time round but i now have a beautiful 3 month baby girl.

Goodluck i hope everything works out for you Smile
