Hi, I am due to have a flu jab tommorrow, This is my forth pg im 9+3 weeks , I didnt get offered flu jabs with my other 3 but this is 7 years later. Im just a little worried about it, I have morning sickness all day and am so tired, Will the flu jab make it worse? Is it really needed? I had a bad bout of flu just before I concieved as well

Thanks for advice in advance!! x

Flu jab won't make your sickness worse no :) Although you had a bout of flu already this year there are different strains so yes I would get it still.

hi I would deffinatley have it, I didnt have 1 with my first 3 children and ended up in hospital with plurasy with my daughter, very painful and needed x-rays and loads of medication so very worrying time for me. this time I have had it and even though I have had a bad cold for 3 weeks it hasnt led to anything else this time thank goodness

I had my flu jab 10 days ago and was totally fine, didn't make me ill (some people do get side effects, but not actually the flu). I've been told that if you do get the flu when pregnant, like looloo says, it can be really awful!

Anyway you might have had your jab by now! Hope it was ok!

Good luck!

I have really bad morning sickness and had my flu jab in December. It did not make any difference and my arm was only sore in the night when I slept on it. I'd say go for it, you wouldn't want the flu along with being pregnant.

Good Luck.
