Had a sweep booked this morning - am 41 weeks pregnant today. Cervix was very far back thick and closed :( sweep was not performed as too uncomfortable and not ready enough. Have induction booked for Saturday at 10am but really really want to go naturally!!
Disappointing considering all the false starts I've had recently - really thought it would be favourable as did MW

So has anyone gone into labour naturally on a similar time-scale after an unsucessful sweep due to unfavourable cervix?

Is there really a need for induction? If you're having false starts on and off anyway, things are happening at the right pace for little one.

My friend did and her son was born the morning she was due for induction.

If you can bear to have sex then lie with a pillow under your bum, sperm apparently contains the same ingredients found in the pessarys used to ripen the cervix?
