I'm 22 weeks pregnant and starting to suffer lower back pain - have been recommended body pillows - has anyone tried? Want to know whether the curved or straight ones are best.

Hi Smellon, I got a curved one form mothercare which was great until I found a long chunky straight one for just £16 which you can place between your legs and sort of cuddle up with top half of your body. Only snag is it can disturb your sleep when trying to turn over and get into position again without pulling the quilt off the bed IYKWIM. (Also use it to prop myself up when watching TV in bed and its so comfy!)
I only suffered with backache early on in my PG and havent had it since, now I'm 24 wks so it must be helping me. Hope this helps! Smile

I am 24 weeks pregnant and I suffer from SPD so trying to sleep is agony!

I got one of the curved pillows which helps not only in bed (inbetween my knees and under my bump) but also when I watch TV or just sat anywhere. I will also use it when I am feeding my baby too so it was a bargain as I am getting so much use out of it!!

I got a curved one for my last pregnancy from Blooming Marvellous I think, but you can get them all over the place now. They are fab!! Well worth it. I got a curved one and was also able to use it to bf when dd was born and to prop her up when she first started to sit up. Hopefully if this pregnancy lasts I will be getting out of the loft.
