Anyone get period-type cramps during the 2WW before getting their BFP??

Hi,
Silly question really. We are TTC no.3. I often get period type cramping between Ov and period, sometimes a week before my period is due. This month I had moderate cramping on DPO 6, which has now subsided. I'm due on about 7th/ 8th January. Looking back, did you experience period type pain before your BFP?
My two DC's are 13 and 14 so I can't remember!
Sorry for the silly question, the symptom spotting is torture!!

Hi I am 12 weeks pregnant with my 1st and when we were TTC I had mild period pain cramping and bloating in the week before i was due on. It made me think we had not been successful as the symptoms were the same as those i get when i am about to start my peroid. It was very confusing and made it difficult for me to believe my positive result at first! good luck x

Thanks Insomniac, this gives some reassurance that periodpain doesn't always mean you're out! Congratulations on your pregnancy! X

I think its common to get them in very early pregnancy, the symptoms for me were exact same as af ones. In all 3 of my pregnancys I've had cramps its the changes to the uterus and very early implantation xx

I had cramping right from conception to BFP!

Yeah I thought I had really bad period pains and headache

yes, I got period pains about 3 or 4 days before my period was due to start, as normal and was sure I was about to menstruate. My periods are pretty regular, with the odd blip, so I didnt test until I was 4 days late, and all during that time I had period pains, so I was quite suprised to get a BFP as I just thought my period was running late that month. In hingsight I think it was probably the uterus stretching, but it felt like the same crampy pains I get with my periods.

I had that a lot just before my bfp with dc1 - I kept running off to the toilet thinking my period had started! I don't recall it happening with dc2 but we weren't ttc whereas we were with dc1 so I was symptom spotting!

Good luck, I hope 2013 brings you your dc3 Smile

Yes... I got a BFP two days ago (only 8 days DPO) which, if it sticks, will be baby #2. Period isn't due for another 5 days (from today) at least. Have had achy cramps since a few days after ovulation, still having them on and off now. Had cramps with #1 but for a lot less time I seem to remember. Also got a BFP much earlier with this one - keep expecting it to disappear, it doesn't feel real. Fingers triple crossed..

I had enough cramps to assume AF was on her way and put my moon cup in my work bag - that was about 10dpo. Got a BFP 12dpo! Definitely doesn't mean AF is guaranteed to come!
