When does the midwife go through your birth plan with you?

I'm 32 weeks and am sure last time it had been done by now.

I was told by my mw at my 34 week check to prepare birth plan for discussion at the 36 week check. Hth.

About 3 or 4 hours into established labour, I remembered & told the midwives I hadn't got around to filling my birth plan out yet. Blush

They laughed & said that was fine, & we told them the 2 things we'd have put on it.

To be fair, had had opportunity to ask questions at home visit (planned home birth), just thought I'd have a bit more time for the documentation. Grin

I have a home visit for my birth plan at 32 weeks. I didn't have one last time, the only reason I will have one this time is from experience last time around, and things I would prefer not to happen again.

Maybe the timing is down to the individual midwife then.

Would like to have a birth plan wrote because I might be going in to hospital alone this time.

Think I will just make some bullet point notes and put them in my blue folder in case midwife doesn't go through it with me this time.

When I went into hospital when in labour. The midwife who examined me went through it with me to ensure she knew what I wanted. Of course, it all went tits up, but the thought was there... Xmas Grin
