1st trimester tugging feeling????

I am currently 10 weeks pregnant with my second child.
My first was sadly stillborn in June this year.
However we have become pregnant again and I am finding everything stomach different.
I have a lot more nausea this time, I sleep more, I eat so much more. And to top it off I am having some weird pains.
It's almost like a sharp tugging feeling in my ovaries. It happens as soon as I lay down. It very rarely happens when im stood or walking about.
Also I dont know whether it's my anxiety about my last baby or what, but I go to the toilet atleast twice an hour, I can't describe it, maybe it feels like im leaking even if im not, or how you feel when you know your period is here? You go to the loo even if you don't need to wee, it's a bit like that, I always do wee but in small amounts, it's rare my bladder is full.
Tmi I know but the discharge is ridiculous, it's constant, which scares me again, I always go to the loo to make sure it is discharge and not blood.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Or can help with the tugging pains?

Thank you
Xx

Hi huni. i'm sorry to hear about your first baby. I cant imagine how that felt. it is totally understandable you are feeling very aware of your body this time.

I am only on my first pregnancy, at 23 weeks now. However, those tugging feelings sound to me like your ligaments stretching and moving to accommodate your growing womb.

I had twinges and pains like that, especially when I sat down, from about 10 weeks on and still get them occasionally now. I called the midwife because I was totally freaked out and she said it was normal. However, if you feel something is not right, call them! It can't hurt and will put your mind at ease. There should be an early pregnancy number that you get when booking in.

As for smelly discharge.....had that too. Also had thrush a lot at the beginning and had to use pessaries. But again, if you are worried call the midwife or go and see the gp. Better to put your mind at ease.

Xxx

I had that tugging feeling too, like pre-period pains, to the point where I was convinced I must have some kind of infection. All perfectly normal, and due to ligaments stretching. Increased discharge is also normal. If you are worried it is worth speaking to a midwife who will double check you don't have an infection. Thrush and uti are both very common in pregnancy and can cause symptoms like these.

I have a lot of stretching niggles too, me told me they are normal and feel them only when lied down is because I'm not actually doing anything else so that's the only time I notice them.
Tmi I also have lots of discharge, but I always have so it's no different for me :) x
Very sorry to hear about your first born, fx for a smoother time this time round xxx
