Fed up and over-due - anyone else? feel free to moan!!

I was due 25th dec christmas day - officially 4 days late now. I have a sweep booked for new years day.

I wouldnt mind but been having niggles and stuff since 37 weeks!! they stopped at week 39 but come back again last night. Last night i woke wih awful shooting pains - like baby was pressing on nerves down there and tops of thighs - also had round ligament pain to top it off :(
Very fed up - and people keep asking me about labour which i know they're only excited but am getting fed up with wheres that baby!! etc............

Anyone else?!

I'm not technically overdue, I'm 35+4 today. But, DC1 came at 34+1. This pregnancy I was admitted to hospital at 27 & 29 weeks with contractions. I had drugs to stop labour and steroids for baby's lungs. Was told by the docs to expect a very early baby. Got to 3cm dilated at 29 weeks and since then - freaking nothing!

Of course I'm happy I've made it past 34 weeks, if baby comes now it should be fine. But for the last 6 bloody weeks I have been expecting to go into labour at any time, and I'm totally fed up!

I keep getting bouts of contractions every 10 mins or so, lasting a couple of hours, but they fizzle away to nothing. I could technically have another 5 or 6 weeks of this, and it's driving me mad.

I am also getting lots of "oh, I thought you'd have had the baby by now." And "I thought you said it was going to be early?" Well that's what the doctor's told me and that's what looked like happening, but evidently not.

Argh!!

Anything today? I've been having Braxton-Hicks like crazy but they don't seem to be actually turning into anything. Totally fed up with the whole thing now!
