DS due tomorrow, with DD I obsessed with my due date and drove myself insane each day I went 'over', I didn't have a single sign of labour until +6 and she arrived at +10.

This time I'm determined he's going to be late and I've started thinking of a week Saturday (i.e. +7) as my due date - family think I'm slightly mad but is really helping keep me sane!!

Admittedly I've been getting very irregular pains on and off since Monday so could still develop this weekend!!

DD is also due tomorrow, and I went 2 weeks over with DS, so I'm not getting my hopes up either. I have a sweep tonight, but really am ambivalent as I'm convinced it won't work!

I am 11 days overdue with not a single sign of labour. I have been relatively chilled out about it as I knew this baby would not come on it's due date! I always had 42 weeks as my due date!

OComeAllYeFaithBaby · 27/12/2012 17:47

I am convinced I'll be at least a week late (I'm not due til April). According to their dates I must have conceived on CD6 which I'm a bit Hmm about because I thought I ovulated about CD12...so if I go over, I won't be surprised!

I was convinced my DS would be 2 weeks late as my mum had been with all if us so I concentrated on that as my date he turned out being only 2 days over so I got an early surprise Grin

Sorry for ignoring your replies, DD was ill last nite.

Glad to see I'm not the only one to discount due dates (have had 3 different dates this pregnancy as it is!)

Well the magical date has arrived and nothing what so ever Wink Saw the midwife who reckons he will still be in situ next Friday and will be around 9 1/2 lbs so gonna she how good she is!! Grin

I've had to discount mine. Had EMCS with DD1 at 42 weeks and circumstances of which mean I'm having an elective CS at 38 weeks. So I just tell everyone an due at beginning of May.

worsestershiresauce · 28/12/2012 16:03

I am too, because for various reasons I think the date they have given me is a bit late. I just tell people the month, rather than a date, so I won't panic anyone if she arrives 'early'. On the other hand if they let me go to 42 weeks by their dates I'll be terrified of still birth.

Dillydollydaydream · 28/12/2012 16:31

I've added a week onto my due date, mainly because ds1 & 2 were late.
The 'any signs'? 'Have you had it yet'? Texts all the time got right on my nerves.

We were deliberately vague with everyone so minimal questions from folks today.

Did have to have slight words with FIL last week when he announced that he was taking New Years Eve off work rather than Christmas Eve as the baby would be here by then (we're currently living with them due to delayed house move!)
