Trying to be quick...
Woke up early, blood and irregular low tight pains. Baby moving fine

Previous 2 pre terms at 30 and 32 weeks. Under consultant care, no cervix left and is open. Had steroids for baby's lungs last week.

Spoken to unit who said to go in but lady was horrible made me feel like a time waster. Really don't want to go in, don't want to waste my time or theirs plus I have a business that reopened today afyer our Christmas break and we are going to be busy.
WWYD?

tug, I was told that nearest makes no difference. Advice in the US I believe to be different. My waters went at 18 weeks with my twins and was told nothing I did or didn't do would make any difference.

Dillydollydaydream · 28/12/2012 16:28

Good luck, hope everything's ok

bugoven · 28/12/2012 17:17

Quick update. Tightenings a have stopped since 4pm but being kept in for observation. Hating being away from my other children and sad and scared at having to spend the night away from my husband.(I have been dumped on a ward, no side rooms available) I hate hospitals at the best of times but this sucks Sad

we had a chat with neonatal who explained the differences between a baby born at this gestation compared to the other two premies we have had. The enormity of it seems to be hitting me quite hard now that I'm tired, I just want to be at home (I know this is the best place to be but I hate it!) SadSad

I had twins at 28 weeks almost five years ago now. They were ventilated immediately upon birth as I didn't get both doses of steroids in, but one was on cpap within a day, the other a day or two later.

Today, they are perfect. Intelligent, polite, funny, amazing little people. You would never guess that they started life so small.

Well she's here!!

I was discharged Saturday afternoon under strict instructions to return Sunday morning for monitoring which we did. All good. Later, at home, I thought I could feel something slipping down and it turned out to be her foot. Emergency c section (which wasn't as terrifying as I thought it would be) and Ava arrived kicking and screaming at 19.09 last night. She is 2lb 11oz which I'm so very proud of for 28 weeks. She was ventilated and put in a bag in an incubator last night but is on cpap now.

I only got a glimpse of her as they wheeled her out if theatre so I'm hoping someone will take me up before breakfast comes around.

Thank you all for your advice, what a start to a New Year!
