Hi all,

This is my third pg after a mmc in July this year. With DS I had HG and was sick as a dog for about 8 weeks, had to take cyclazine, was off work for weeks etc. With mmc, the sickness wasn't really that bad, but it was there.

I'm about 7+3 now. I was at EPU last week for an early scan because I had some bleeding. Everything seemed fine at scan, but then mmc didn't happen until about 8 weeks the last time so just because everything is ok at 6 weeks doesn't mean much unfortunately. Anyway, I had really awful nausea this time round all during week 6 and at the beginning of this week but yesterday and today it's no more than a little bit of queasiness and not having a huge appetite. Bleeding stopped a week ago, still waking up during night a lot, feeling very hormonal and tired, and though boobs aren't aching, they are still a bit sore.

I'm due back at EPU for a follow up scan a week today but I'm feeling pretty anxious without the morning sickness - has anyone else's sickness disappeared or extremely lessened as early as this and has it turned out ok??

Thank you Thanks

Hello, I had a similar experience in my current pregnancy having had a run of miscarriages. The severe nausea and vomiting one day just disappeared. I was so paranoid that baby had died I arranged for a private scan and hey presto, there was a little heart beat. I was about 8 weeks. The nausea and sickness returned within a couple of days. The amount of rest and sleep I'd had sometimes affected how ill I felt, so maybe you are nicely rested and relaxed over the xmas holiday and feeling better for it. Pregnancy following miscarriage is tough emotionally and it is so easy to convince yourself something is wrong when all is ok. I wish you all the best and hope it is good news at the scan next week.

Thanks Pineapple - it's so tough going this time round, because you are hyper aware of everything and you also know how easily and how quickly something can go wrong :(

At least I have a scan arranged for next week, keeping fx

The sickness with the pg I miscarried was far worse then with dd.

Congrats on your pregnancy.

With this pregnancy ( 7 months now) the sickness has been on and off the whole way through.

Honestly weeks it 7-9 completely disappeared, I was starting to think the same as you (have previously had mmc and mc's)

But week 10-17 it came roaring back again.

And its pretty much followed that pattern to today.

So relieving to hear other people's stories!

I know that it's prob cos I'm off work and just relaxing at home with family while DH has been brilliant and taken care of a lot of the housework, playing with DS and cooking xmas dinner so I've really been able to put my feet up so it shouldn't be surprising that I'm feeling a lot better than I was last week when I was stressed with work, finishing xmas shopping, going to EPU for scan etc. But I'm literally prodding myself in the boobs every few hours to check they're still sore Confused I guess it's just cos I know 8 weeks is (apparently) a very common time for mmc to happen because it's when the placenta is supposed to start taking over various functions and if the embryo isn't viable then that process often doesn't work. And that's just a few days away. Oh well, had a nice day at in-laws today and in bed early watching Big Bang Theory and eating sweeties tonight - hopefully scan next week will be good news and I can briefly stop panicking!

Thanks everyone!
