Is this morning sickness or vomitting bug?

Been feeling queasy all afternoon, haven't actually thrown up but the queasiness hasn't subsided at all. If it was ms shouldn't it have gone by now? Am terrified of having a miscarriage from getting a vomiting bug.

I've had bad nausea through my whole pregnancy....normally starts mid-afternoon, and doesn't go until the next morning...and have only actually thrown up twice. I think you can have ms at anytime of the day.

However that said, if you are worried, there is absolutely no harm in going to get checked out - better safe than sorry.

Morning sickness is a misnomer. You can feel sick all day if you suffer from it. Infact, I used to be fine in the morning but started to feel sick at about 11am and it steadily got worse throughout the day. For about 20 weeks.

However, I don't know if you have a bug of ms. But neither ms or a vomiting bug will cause a miscarriage so please try not to worry.

I have bad nausea, no morning sickness though. If it was the norovirus bug I am sure it won't be stopping at feeling sick, you'd be really vomiting and possibly the other end too.

Fingers crossed it's not that and I don't think it would increase the risk of a miscarriage to have had the norovirus. I think it's more the dehydration that comes with it that could pose a problem for pregnant women (especially later on)

I had all day 'morning sickness' from 6 weeks, and am now 12 weeks. 2 days ago I got the vomiting bug. Hourly violent vomiting of bile for 24 hours, stomach cramps and some diarrhoea. Sound like your is MS at the moment.

Apparently norovirus is not dangerous to baby as long as you stay hydrated. Fingers crossed for you it's just MS though coz this is horrible!

Thank you ladies really hope it's ms....I did have diarrhoea this morning though which is why I'm worried but nothing like that since.

Eating seems to help it but then it comes back.

Shall I just drink lots of water?

I had norovirus in January 2011 - and trust me, I knew about it. It absolutely wiped me out for ten days. It came on suddenly and I was vomiting constantly, and when I wasnt puking I was in bed barely able to left my head off the pillow I felt so so terrible. I also lost over a stone in two weeks! crazy.

I think if you have the norovirus, there will be no doubt that you have it, if you know what I mean. MS is so different as you can kind of function a little in between sickness etc.

Hope it wears off soon though - the nausea is horrible : (

Snack little and often, I find I feel fine for about 20 mins after eating then it slowly comes back again.

I had hyperemesis early on and was sick all times of day and night and had an upset stomach with it. The only way you will know if it's noro virus or severe ms is by seeing how long it lasts. Noro virus will pass quickly severe ms could last for weeks if not months. Whichever it is if you can't keep fluids down for more than a day or two you will need to phone your dr.
Feeling queasy and sick or beng sick is usually a really good sign of a healthy pregnancy, so don't worry!

Thank you all, still feel sick but no vomitting and it hasnt progressed in anyway. Think/hope its ms. Didnt have ms at all with dd and everything was healthy with her so feels unsettling now, like somethings wrong like when its gone I think why has it just stopped?
