subchorionic bleed on 12 week scan?

Had my scan today and baby looking great- jiggling around Like crazy

Then at the end the sonographer asked if I had had any bleeding (no) then she showed me "small" subchorionic bleed.

Baby measured bang on dates (60mm crown to rump) and subchorionic bleed was 20mm by 10mm so sounds quite big by comparison?!

Has anyone else had this? Am stressing out and trying not to (had 2 mc this year at 4 and 7 weeks, discovered by bleeding)

The sonographer said not to worry and hopefully it should be absorbed by the 20 week scan... Easier said than done!!

I think I have something like this, I had an early scan and at first she thought there was 2 sacs but then she changed to 1 sac and 1 a bleed it measured 19.5 I've got another scan on Monday xx

Hi there- subchorionic haematomas are fairly common and usually nothing to worry about. I had a bleed at 6 weeks and they saw one measuring 17mm next to the sac. I've just had another scan at 8 weeks and it has resolved. 2cm isn't particularly large (then can get up to 10-15cm) and as your Sonographer said it will probably be reabsorbed.

I had a huge gush of blood( no warning cramps) at 10 weeks and was diagnosed with a sub choronic bleed measuring 33x22 - sonographer told me that they usually resolve. At my 12 week scan the bleed got slighty larger however 4 days later it had completely re absorbed. Crossing fingers for you - I know how scary it is! X

I had one. They didn't notice it at my 11 week scan. But a couple of days later, I had a massive bleed. Two days of changing pads hourly. Heard heartbeat at a&e and had scan couple of days later. They found a haematoma measuring something like 10 cm by 9 cm by 3 cm. So pretty damn big. And that was after all the bleeding

My son was born at 39+5 and is now a happy and healthy 4month old.

There's every chance that all will be well for you too. Stay away from Google though. Google is not your friend.

i know most of the replies on here are pretty old, but ive been diagnosed with a large( 15.9 cm) subchorionic hematoma. Im 12 weeks currently and was diagnosed at 9 weeks, after heavy bleeding. Ive been to the emergency room twice since they diagnosed me at 9 weeks, and have had ultrasounds every week. Baby is growing and has a perfect heartbeat each scan, im just terrified. i was already scared with this pregnancy bc i lost my first pregnancy in november 2018 at 8 weeks, it was a miscarriage and i was/still am soo excited about this baby. I dont want to lose another baby, i get more attached and feel like i love the baby more each day. If anyone has a similar story please let me know, the drs say theres nothing to be done, other than wait and monitor the baby via ultrasound, but the clot hasnt shrunk or reabsorbed any. its roughly 3 times the size of the baby and the last ultrasound stated it was surrounding most of the sac.
