I am in so much discomfort with them, when will it end?

You might be in for a while of this.

I'll be the first to say make sure you're wearing a well-fitting bra. Don't go to Mothercare or M & S to get measured though.

Mine were uncomfortable all the way through, but first trimester was the worst.

Buy a proper good quality maternity bra as soon as you can - I couldn't believe how much more comfortable I was in one (no underwire, very soft material, wide straps, support without lift). I slept in mine.

I also found a cool cabbage leaf helped (I know this is generally for when you are feeding but I found it soothing during pregnancy too.)

You have my sympathy - very sore and unpleasant.

I don't really have much advice but wanted you to know you're not alone!

Mine have been sooo sore from around 5 weeks when I found out, to now (Im almost 12 weeks) . They were never this bad with my DS but I am expecting twins this time and they have already tripled in size! some days it feels like I have electricity running through them down to my nipples! its really weird.

I have yet been able to get out to get measured due to HG but need to as been squeezing them into my 34b sized bras Hmm

Might try using some cooling ice packs or something soon!

Hope your's eases up soon - it is supposed to by 2nd trimester (along with all the other horrible symptoms!)

weeblueberry · 21/12/2012 12:43

Mine were always fine til I took my bra off. Then, THE AGONY!

They're a lot better now but for some reason my right nipple is still hugely sensitive...no idea why. Hmm

FoofFighter · 21/12/2012 12:58

yes they aren't too bad in the day, just when g bang into them or sometimes I get a "someone has attatched my nipples to a motorbike through my back and the motorbike is speeding off" feeling Confused

.....but take off my bra... Shock

mine are worse when I'm wearing a bra... think its definitely time to get a load of new bras..... Hmm

lotsofcheese · 21/12/2012 15:26

Mine are still sore at 19 weeks Hmm. I did get measured earlier on in Debenhams & got new bras at about 8-10 weeks. They've not grown since, thankfully - G cup!!! I wear the bra in bed as it's sore turning over at night.

fidol · 22/12/2012 10:32

Mine were agony up to about 13 weeks then eased off. Still at least a cup size bigger but I can sleep with a bra again Smile

Definitely Debenhams for fitting. They were lovely and don't rush you! I went up a back size and two cup sizes by 10 weeks! I slept in a supportive vest pyjama top my first trimester too. For me it settled down around 13 weeks I think.

rainand · 22/12/2012 10:56

Mine were very sensetive and still are, but it has calmed down a little (I'm 18 weeks).

I had worn a wired bread and due to itching them up ended up with awfully bruised nipples, and had to use the steroid cream. The best thing I did was a bought a bravado silk seamless nursing bra, which is comfy and as it is lightly padded, when I do get the strong sensation to itch, it doesn't harm my nipples. Sorry to go into detail, but I thought it may help cos it has been an agony!

Anyone advice for bra places for bigger size? am 38F normally, dread to think what now :( looking online doesn't reveal much over an FF

foof get yourself along to Debenhams!!! Their "Gorgeous" range for the, ahem, "bigger busted" is pretty good. I'm wearing one, in a 38F (normally 34FF), which I was fitted for. I'll loosen off the back as my rib cage comes out. It's plain, seamless & has slightly moulded cups - sorry can't link on the phone.

FoofFighter · 22/12/2012 16:42

No Debenhams :(

Bravissimo? They will definitely have your size. Can order online.

Discolite · 22/12/2012 22:48

I bought some non wired bras to wear in bed for this stage of pregnancy as I found turning over in bed agony!
