hopefully in the next 24 hours! DH is insistent it is coming at 20.12 tomorrow - that seems an awfully long time away to me.

are you in labour?

Izzyschangelingisarriving · 20/12/2012 22:26

I don't know - I keep getting hour long sessions of what feel excruciatingly like labour - once or twice a day, usually when I wake up.

But this is the 4th set since this morning, so they are def hotting up, combined with bad tummy.

What I am not sure of is if like all the other times, they are going to just STOP again.

This is the most frustrating end of pregnancy I have ever had!

Exciting!

Izzyschangelingisarriving · 20/12/2012 22:29

I hope so, because DH is home, if I rang him everytime I had a false start, Id have phoned him out of work everyday for 2 weeks - but then I panic because I have relatively fast labours and I am scared of giving birth totally alone, he delivered DC3.

Oooo exciting! I told you you'd have the baby by the weekend!

If you have it tomorrow, you have to call it Apocalypta!

Izzyschangelingisarriving · 20/12/2012 22:34

That made me laugh Sweet, I just hope its not another false start!! I have never known anything like this.

Is it tomorrow you're meant to be seeing your MW?

Izzyschangelingisarriving · 20/12/2012 22:39

yes - but she has been suppose to ring me with a time and she hasnt so I have no idea when she is coming - am supposed to be taking DD to breakfast with Santa tomorrow.

OP posts:
SweetMingePie · 20/12/2012 22:53

Ah no! Is there anyone else who can take her?

Mulledandmerry · 20/12/2012 22:59

I sympathise, i had lots of false starts with ds2 and kept calling family/friends out to babysit in the early hours only to reappear at breakfast with baby still firmly in place! When it finally happened it all went quickly, constantly and unmistakably! 10lb baby out in 2 hours from start to finish.

Izzyschangelingisarriving · 20/12/2012 23:05

My mum will take her - she only came home today after 2 days with mum because of all the false starts.

Eased up again!

I can't keep this up for much longer.

Dh is sleeping - poor thing is shattered

Izzy...no, I felt a dribble of water and the contractions that had been off and on for the last week or two suddenly became unmistakeably regular and I felt like I had a melon stuck in my groin. Up until then it had been pretty much as you described apart from some excrusiating pains that felt like someone was ermm..kicking me really hard in the pubic area!! Previous labours had been gradual build up and then wham, in your face, contractions. When I got to the hospital, my waters were intact but the head was so low they could virtually pull it out!! Contractions were continuous and lo..a child was born! I know how you feel..it will all happen soon, you will get to hospital in time and it will be fine..btw, a colleague of mine delivered her own baby whilst hanging out the washing! At least she had clean towels at the ready!

Izzyschangelingisarriving · 21/12/2012 13:08

I'm not going to hospital - home birth.

I feel so rough and tired I just want to cry.

I really want DH to comrades home and I am so tired everything is aching - dreadings school run.

Poor dd is shoved in front of t .

Izzyschangelingisarriving · 21/12/2012 20:51

STILL no baby, and I have a streaming cold now, my eyes and nose are pouring.

Lovely DH is home now and I have had 2 steaming hot baths which make me feel much better. I have also had a small brandy which was lovely.

Then I fell asleep on the sofa for an hour, also lovely.

Going to watch a movie now.

Will keep you updated.

Mulled, midwife thought DD was born with her waters intact, but as she wasnt actually here, she isnt sure.
