nearly 34 weeks pregnant.
Last night and all day today, strong tightenings and pressure down below.
Bump feels heavy and like it is pressing down.

Also hips really sore now, since last night. (Have horrendous back pain anyway since about 16 weeks, but this hip pain much more obvious since last night)

Is this just that the baby is getting podgy now, gaining weight and so heavier in my pelvis or should i be worried?

BTW i am booked for a section in 5 weeks, i have had a word, and the baby is well aware of the day of evacuation and so knows not to try to surface early Smile

I would ring the hospital just to be safe. I'm
34 weeks today and was admitted at 32 weeks with similar symptoms as they thought I was in pre term labour. Best to be on the safe side

Hmm, went in at 28 weeks with similar BUT not as intense with less pressure and they told me i was not in labour.

Reluctant to waste thier time.

Its still there but my hips are fecking killing me today and i am sure they are making a grinding noise Shock when i stand or try to move my legs anywhere but forward!
WTF is that all about?

Sounds like you have pgp, (spd) the last few weeks the pelvis softens ready for labour. I've had it since 20 weeks and been having anesthetic injections into my back to relieve the pain.

Try using disolvable paracetamol to help with the pain, i find it works better than tablet. i wouldn't think the drs would give you anything at this stage (Im being weaned off codiene)
