I know this is pointless but I am simply very excited and wanted to share it with others who will understand!!

Hubby and I pooled the money we would usually spend on each others Christmas gifts and decided what we really wanted was to do a 4D scan and "meet" our baby - so we're off this evening after work to have a 4D scan done at Babybond! Feeling very mixed feelings - mostly excited, a little anxious, not sure why. Just hoping that this experience is going to be everything I want it to be... this is my first (probably only) little miracle child (doctors told me I couldn't have kids.... pfft what do they know), and I am just so excited to have a little preview of the amazing person growing inside of me.

Has anyone else had one done, or known someone who has? Have they said it was worth it?

Very exciting! I've been offered 3D scans at local hospital, I'm very excited!

I've seen my sister in law's 3D photos and they're amazing compared to the B&W standard ones. You can actually see the face, the eyes, the nose, it gives you a good idea of what the baby will look like! Mine is in January, I can't wait!!

Good luck & enjoy!

I had a 4D scan along with a video, it was such an amazing wonderful experience. I would recommend it to anyone.

Just make sure you take something sweet to eat and a drink, its to help stimulate your baby so s/he moves. I forgot and he slept the whole way through, lol. They even had me skipping up and down a corridor to try getting him to wake up, lol. He always had a mad half hour at 7am and then pretty much slept rest of day and night, lol xx

Hi have fun later, I had mine done at 24 weeks and the little monkey was hiding so we had to go back a week later and try again so do have a chocolate fix just before you go or anything you know makes them wiggle. It is lovely and so reassuring. I've looked at the pics so many times and cuddles them they are nearly worn out, but it's a great keepsake. Enjoy and have a lovely Xmas.

I wish I'd read these before I went - for once in its entire life, baby was fast asleep and was feeling very stubborn, kept trying to turn his/her back to us!! Luckily the midwife enlisted the help of my hubby and they both prodded poked my bump (quite forcefully!!) and eventually baby turned around for us.

Words can't describe how overwhelmed I felt... so much love for this little face, haven't been able to stop staring at photos!! (Have uploaded some in case you want to see).

Would definitely recommend it to anyone who can afford it... feel so much closer to my baby now Xmas Smile

Ahh glad you enjoyed it, it's lovely seeing them and it settles any fears and helps us enjoy the pregnancy. I swear I can already see resemblance to Dh. X
