feel down there is broken. like it has been smashed. i havent done anything remotely strenuous for days. i went to bed fine and woke up hrs later with a broken front bottom - why??

Sounds like SPD/ pelvic girdle pain to me. If pain continues and you have the funds, get thee to an osteopath (who has experience with pregnant women).

what citydweller said. it really is worth seeing an osteo (not a chiro....osteo is far more gentle) and getting it realigned.
I saw one for three weeks at the 16 week point in this pregnancy when I could feel my pelvis moving about. He realigned it and I've got the same stage as you (i'm 32 weeks too) with considerably less discomfort than I had in my last pregnancy.
My pelvis is definitely shifting around a lot but I'm having more movement in the back than the pubic bone. I hear it crack too if I'm not very careful about rolling over.
In the meantime sit with your knees together and avoid using stairs as much as possible.
