I'm 31 weeks and have placenta anterior I've been feeling baby move since 21 weeks but over the last week baby is more active at night from 9pm. And it hurts. Everytime if moves I wince. This is my 3rd pregnancy and didn't experience anything like this I loved my other two movements and this sounds awful but I prefer when this one is quiet. Any similar experiences?

Hello,
Sorry, I don't have experience of this but am also 31 weeks and baby's favourite game at the moment seems to be "kick the ribs". I'm sure someone will come along with words of wisdom soon. In the meantime, have you rung your midwife? Hope it gets better soon! X

My DS used to kick me to bits he was and is really strong and I would be in agony didn't realise it wasn't the norm till this pregnancy.
Tell your midwife as I ended up getting a damaged placenta (anterior also) and started bleeding from 36 weeks had to get induced at 39 weeks then had a massive bleed and retained placenta which got infected was in and out of hospital till they did a D&C 6 weeks after delivery.
Don't think this was due to the kicking but could not have helped and if you let them know it is abnormal amount of pain and kicking then they can keep a closer eye on you and give you better care.
Sorry it isn't nice for you at the moment as you probably know movements usually slow down a bit as they get less room although my DS didn't really!

Thanks for your messages guys. I've got the midwife tomorrow so I will most definitley talk to her.
Emsyboo when you say you had a bleed do you mind me asking what it was like a couple of nights ago I had a small bleed roughly about a teaspoon but it was fresh blood. Wasn't concerned as baby movements hadn't changed and I put it down to stretching.
Also did you experience morning sickness with all the kicking as that seems to have reared its ugly head again with me.

I had a small bleed at 36 weeks prob about a teaspoon this was followed by contractions and the plug came away after a spell in hospital was ok then had a much heavier bleed at 38/39 weeks change of bed sheets amount which prompted them to induce me.
I was ok with sickness no real problems hope you feel better soon always worth being over cautious when babies are concerned and your health.
I am having problems this pregnancy with placenta so think it is more me than baby kicks but def get checked out as you never know and worth some extra tlc x
