I'm going for scan tomorrow. I don't think I am but my dr and midwife have both mentioned it to me more than once.

Watching thread with interest!

I thought I was due to extreme sickness and a bump appearing way early but I've had scans at 7 and 9 weeks and there's definitely only one in there lol. Good luck for today cupcake!

Good luck for your scan! I have the inkling I might be, I've been to a couple of mediums (dunno if anyone believes, I'm open minded and like to hear what they have to say) and two of them so far have told me that I would be having twins next, (went pre pregnancy) so will just have to see. My first scan is next week but I'm going to the doctor soon as I hurt myself at work last night just to get checked so maybe ill find out today? X

If you suspect it then have a look at taking out twin insurance before the scan! I suspected it straight away and after twins were confirmed at 6 weeks, I kept thinking "why didn't I get the insurance?". That would have paid for a lot of the extras..

I didn't have a clue, and if I hadn't been lying down when they told us I'd have fallen over with shock! My DH looked like this Shock for about two days... Found out 3 weeks ago.

And it was only after I found out people have mentioned twin insurance! It's about £45 and pays out about 1k I believe. Not that we'd have taken it out anyway, the midwife only found one heartbeat the week before and I had no reason to suspect twins - although my uncles are, there's no other family history and it never crossed my mind.

Takes some getting your head around ime!

I had a strange feeling that it was twins - had a scan at 8 weeks and said to DH on the way "this is going to be twins" and yep, it was. They're identical so not genetic and I wasn't sick or feeling bad at all, just had a 'feeling'.

rrreow · 17/12/2012 14:39

I did think so before my scan. Second pregnancy, by about 8-10 weeks I looked like I did at 20 weeks with my 1st pregnancy and I was so so sick. At the scan it showed just one baby though!

cupcake78 · 17/12/2012 14:52

No twins Grin just one wriggly baby

BuckyMummy · 17/12/2012 14:58

I didn't have twins, although there are twins in my immediate family, and I think that makes it more likely - so I was half expecting to be told i was having twins!

DeckTheHallsWithBoughsOfJolly · 17/12/2012 14:59

That's good news cupcake.

I have twin sisters. We are ttc at the moment rather than actually pregnant but I just have this niggly feeling.
