Trivial question about Gap maternity jeans sizing as opose to Next.

Hi,

If I can wear a sz10 in the Next range, will a sz10 in the Gap range fit the same?

I know this is random, but I know Next sizes can be a bit bigger.

In general Gap jeans sizing is on the large side.

I agree. I have a pair of Gap trousers in size 12 but I am always a 14!

Gap jeans sizes are mostly US.
I'm usually a size 8 and have to wear a size 2 (UK 6 equivalent) in Gap bottoms, maternity and non maternity!
They vary hugely though, I'd definitely suggest trying before you buy, or if buying online buy a couple of sizes and take advantage of free returns!

While a US size 6 does = a UK size 10, Gap 'British-ises' sizes in its UK stores. So if you're a 10 at Next you'll be fine in a Gap 10 (if buying from a Gap in the UK, or on its UK website)!

They come up huge! I am normally a 10 (at Next for example) in jeans. I got Gap maternity jeans in a 6 and they fit perfectly. They are certainly bigger than H&M maternity size 10s which are now too small for me :(

In my Gap the jeans are marked with "US 6 UK 10" etc.

I find they come up big though so if you are usually a UK 10 you should test out US6/UK10 and US4/UK8.

Actually I think now they've switched to imaginary inches on the jeans. I say "imaginary" because my waist is not the same number of inches as the label on the jeans that fit me.
