Hi I'm due to have Elcs at 38wks- less than 2 weeks and haven't bought anything yet - or packed hospital bag. Ds1 who was born at term was 7lbs - if this baby is at 38 weeks o I still get newborn clothes or early baby ? And in this weather would you say I need long or short sleeve vests - sorry I know trivial things but brain really isn't working
Also the leaflet from hospital says to pack 2 bags- o e for use immediately after section and other for later....... Have seen all the hospital bag lists but what is for immediate use?
Thanks in advance

Get newborn size, ds was just shy of 8lb and even newborn swamped him at first. By the time he grew out of them they were mostly poo and puke stained anyhow!
In the immediately after bag you need a vest, nappy, cotton hat, babygrow and cardi, clean pjs or nightie for you, big knickers and some maternity pants, and basic toiletries and a camera. For later, more of the above, cotton wool, nipple cream, dressing gown, slippers, whatever you think you need for 2-4 days in hospital. Don't forget some easy reading and your phone charger.
