Hi all, found out I am pregnant yesterday...so I'm about four or five Weeks I guess. Anyway tonight I've been getting shooting spasms in my vagina...is this normal or should I be worried. I am a worrier...I haven't told anyone yet so I can't ask my friends andmy mum is no longer with us.

Thanks.

I got told to go in with shooting pains which went through my lower stomach into my vagina, so its worth calling someone. x

Is this your first pregnancy? I had shooting pains with my second and third and was told it was normal stretching. But if you are worried go with your gut and get seen. I'm sure its nothing to worry about x

Thanks. yes its the first time and I am super aware of every sensation at the min! The doc told me on Fri that if it started to come away there would be nothing to be done but I think I'll make am appointment anyway...I've spent the last year trying and now I realise I have no idea about anything...

Even on my third pregnancy now and after reading every book and forum messages I still worry over the smallest thing and learn new things all the time. Your not alone :-) it could just be your body adjusting to this 'foreign' object. But yes if its on your mind best to get it checked out. X

Thanks...until we tell people I really have no one to talk to! It'd be different if my mum wad here...I'm not that close to mil and she lives six hours away!

The best advice I've ever received was no. One has a txt book pregnancy but always trust your gut instinct! And never be afraid to contact your mw or dr if you're worried. Congratulations I wish you a happy healthy pregnancy! :-)

When I was 5/6 weeks pregnant I had awful cramps, shooting pains down my vagina and all across my stomach. When I spoke to my nidwife she said this was all normal and due to my ligaments stretching ect. I had my first scan last week and sonographer said my baby was perfect :) if your worried speak to your midwife and see if you can get an emergancy scan x

Congratulations and good luck :)

phoenixrose314 · 16/12/2012 07:58

Call and speak to your local midwife, she will book you in for an early scan. I had one due to bleeding at 7 weeks, and it was extremely reassuring - she told me everything looked fine and my cervix was closed etc. Sooooo happy after that I went and told my mum and dad, reassured it was all going to be fine.

I'm sure everything will be fine - keep us updated.

Hey bluer yup totally normally. My cramps were so bad I had packed my moon cup in my work bag a couple of days before my BFP!

They will base your due date on your last cycle date and 'average' cycle length. There's a due date calculator on here of you look. However only your scan will give you a clear date. My due date turned out to be a few days earlier that predictors calculated. I would recommend being vague about your due date when you tell people. I say 'end of April' when I'm actually due 23rd so that I'm not hounded massively around that time! :)

Hey faith fancy meeting you here! Thanks...i've tried to calm it down and relax. Cool I'll just say August then if anyone asks! Although we'll be keeping it quiet for a good while yet hopefully!
