gender ring theory??

I know its just for fun and only scan etc can determine the sex, but has anyone done this and it be true?

My MIL come up yest and did one on my palm that is suppose to tell you how many and in which order (unmeasured think) she did it and 1st go said boy (which is true) 2nd go also said boy (again true) 3rd said girl as did 4th. It stopped after that, so she said 2 boys 2 girls, I'm pregnant with my 3rd at mo. She then showed me hers which resulted in 4 boys and that is true, I've done it again today and its doing the exact same as what it did when she did it for me I find that kind of weird ha.

There is one over your belly too which is suppose to say what you are carrying.

So has this been right for anybody else, obviously its not a science and means it is right, but would be quite fun to know if it has been correct for any of you ladies x

If it has been correct for anyone then that is just a coincidence and will have absolutely no bearing on whether or not it is correct for you.
A ring can not know if your unborn child has a penis or not.

I know that I'm not stupid, just asked a question like i said cause I thought it would be fun to see the answers. Lots of people believe it to be true my MIL says everyone she knows its always been right. Never said I thought it was just wanted to see others opinions on it.

I did it and it was wrong however the theory changes depending which website you read, some say it's a boy if it circles and others say boy if it swings to and fro!

The chinese gender prediction method is supposed to be scarily accurate, it predicted boy for us and was also wrong, we were glad though because we wanted a girl Smile

I remember trying this last time I was pregnant and also found conflicting advice on different websites as to which outcome meant girl or boy, so not very helpful! My cousin who has 4 kids did it and it worked accurately.

I haven't found out the sex this time but do find these things lots of fun. There are lots of silly quizzes online too you can do.

SunnyUpNorth · 15/12/2012 20:20

I just did the Chinese gender predictor for DD's due date and for current pregnancy and got girl both times! So was right for dd and will have to wait and see if it is right for dc2.

beckie90 · 15/12/2012 20:32

I've done Chinese gender too it was right for ds1 but wrong for ds2 and this one I've done different ones online some are saying girl some are saying boy

I've seen the different methods too. I did come across the 1 the MIL uses on the net over the palm, did it to my aunt too for a laugh it was true for her. It's probs just coincidence but its just strange I think how everytime iv tried it does same thing lol x

Chinese gender was wrong for both of my previous dc and almost certainly wrong based on scans for this one.
Baking soda test was also wrong this time, ring test was right but wouldn't put any faith in it, biorhythm test was correct, as was my gut instinct based on how sick I was! (never felt sick with ds1, sick from the day before I found out with dd2, and again horribly sick from the start with this one which is also apparently a girl)

beckie90 · 16/12/2012 12:17

With both my ds's i was sickly but never was sick, this time I'm only 6wk and already been sick :(

Whats biorhythm?

that chinese predictor worked for both of mine. but then i think i already knew that dc2 would be a boy, for more sciency reasons.

beckie90 · 16/12/2012 12:24

Only boys has run in my OH family and we have 2, am hoping this time might change that, but id still be very happy with 3 boys :)

Stop trying to find a 101 reasons why youmust be carrying a girl and be happy with whatever you get.

The only 100% accurate way of checking gender is giving birth! Even scans get it wrong sometimes.

Oh and it didn't work for me when pregnant as it stopped after 2 children when I was pregnant with my third.

Apparantly that meant my DD would die Hmm, thanks nan.

beckie90 · 16/12/2012 14:00

I know I've just said previous id b equally as happy with 3 boys, always said the same always will, it would be nice for the OH side to finally get a girl from there side but to me I'm not botherd, I obviously didn't go onto ttc thinking its definatly got to be a girl, cause I knew it would be a boy anyhow given the way my partners side goes,.I thought about it and always knew I wanted my children to be closer together as me and my sibling was 10 years so I grew up kind of lonely. With people in my family been infertile and thinking I also was I'm 1st to appreciate a baby either sex :)

Ohh well that stumps that one out then Hmm
