Ow, ow, ow! I woke up at 3am feeling like my face was going to explode & my teeth would fall out. I've had a nasty cold for a few days but this is just horrible! It's just typical that I'd get ill just as my ms was beginning to ease. I'm sniffing Olbas Oil & I tried taking paracetamol but my gag reflex is really sensitive so I only managed to swallow half a tablet & am now too scared of being sick to try the other half. Steam doesn't seem to be helping much either so I guess I'm just doomed

Oops, posted accidentally!

I'm doomed to be in pain until my body decides to heal itself. Hmph.

Anyone got any bright ideas that don't involve swallowing things or banned substances?! Sad

I have a lot of nasal congestion (bleeds in the morning too) though not half as bad as what you're going through. My consultant recommended Otrivine nasal spray which is safe (active ingredient xylometzoline hydrochloride 0.1%) I would suffer from sinus issues a lot anyway and I always found nasal sprays helped. Hope you feel better soon.

Could you try menthol crystals or peppermint oil in hot water on the radiators or in a bowl near you. It seems to help clear them and is non toxic. Hope you feel better soon.

Steam yourself - a bowl with hot water and menthol stuff (Vicks, or an aromatherapy oil). Put a towel over your head and breathe it in. You will stream from every orifice but it works!!

Am currently suffering the very same thing - I do sympathise!!
