Really stupid question coming up.

I'm 24 weeks and I've had a nasty cold/sore ear for about a week. Yesterday I woke up with red, gunky eyes and they are still bad today. They are a little sore but not painful. No vision problems.

I know the NHS site says to treat at home unless it's lasted two weeks and so I've been cleaning my eyes with boiled salt water like my mum did when we were kids.

My question is, is it ok to just treat this at home or does my being pregnant mean I need to see a doctor? Is there anything a pharmacist can give me or shall I just ride it out? Thanks.

You'll be fine as long as it doesn't get worse, my kids had it last week so I got them some drops from the doctor and sake what to do of I get it (I'm 9 weeks) and she said just treat at home unless it gets really bad then just get some drops x

That's great - thanks. I was thinking if I had to go to the docs I'd probably end up coming back with norovirus or something!
