Almost at goal weight after losing 6 stone and now pregnant

I have lost 6 stone in the last two years. I am almost at goal and have just found out I am pregnant. I'm already a little off my food so you never know I may well get there! Don't want to suspend my ww membership until I am a bit further along.

Problem is I am so worried I am going to pile it all back on again while pregnant! I will be sensible, keep exercising and eating well but I lose control so easily. How do I know this will be different to last time???

Congratulations!! That is fantastic - both weightloss and your pg!!!

I asked about this, and you can still follow the plan (on a maintenance level) and attend the meetings, but you can't get weighed. It might help to keep you focussed, after all it is about eating healthily.

Maybe speak to your leader about it after you have 'come out'!!!

You can still attend the meetings?? Really?? That just may save me. What about with a suspended membership? I thought you had to suspend blog pregnant.

Thank you!!! Feeling a bit lonely and unsupported in my new double life!!

Congratulations!

I could have written your post. I always joked that as soon as I got down to a healthy weight I'd end up getting pregnant.

BANG.

Baby. Wink. Lost about 6 and a half stone and about 2 months later got pregnant.

Double check about WW because my local meeting wouldn't let pregnant women continue with the plan. You're allowed to continue maintenance while breastfeeding but the official WW party line is that you shouldn't follow the plan. Unless you eat mega amounts of fruit/veg WW points average at about 1500 cals a day which isn't enough when pregnant. You'd have to eat about 500-700 calories a day in fruit and veg to bulk it out.

You're far better just using the skills and patience you've learned from WW to keep yourself as healthy as possible without counting points.

Good luck with everything!! Smile

My MW said it was fine so see what they say, but maintenance should be around 1500 - 2000 calories/day so should be fine and helps promote healthy eating.

My leader was happy for me to stay and contribute to meetings, so just see what yours says.

I plan to follow maintenance but if I can hit goal before suspending that would be great. Apparently it's free after pregnancy for six months if you are a gold member. Bonus.

I am just short of losing 6 and a half stone, need 6 to get to goal. Last time I completely went off sweet stuff and dropped half a stone in the first few weeks - I was a size 22 though. Currently a 12 and would like to stay there apart from baby. I will keep running as long as I can and will swim more aswell as aquanatal.

Is morning sickness just sickness or can it be the other end aswell?? Apologies!
