Low blood pressure, zero energy, will it get better?

Hi

I'm 16 weeks and although the sickness has passed i feel so bleurgh still, no energy at all, really lethargic and everything seems like such an effort, just leaving the house to visit the cornershop wipes me out.

Saw MW this week and told her but she just put "feels well no concerns" on my notes, hmm.

I know it could be so much worse and others are still sick at 16 weeks but i was just wondering if anyone else has had low blood pressure and felt like this and it's got better? I have a toddler too and feel like i'm not making enough of the xmas build up etc with her. Hate to think of feeling like this til 40 weeks!

I was like this with ds2 all way through and had a 2 year old 2. My mum had to come up quite a few times and ring hospital for me while I was laid out on the floor, not been able to move lol. Blood pressure was low had anemia and my heart rate starts to go strange when I'm preg, have you been checked for anemia? Xx

Ask for an anaemic test? My MW offered me one after months of being sick when I mentioned how weak I felt. Results were back within days and the Dr put me on iron tablets. It made such a difference.

Thanks for the replies.

The MW looked at my blood test results from my 12 week scan and said my iron was ok, so guessing that means no need for a separate test? I'll try and include more iron rich foods in my diet, see if that helps.

Beckie that sounds like me! I could just lie down all day, i feel like such a wimp :-) I was full of energy with DD by 16 weeks but this time i just lie there thinking "i could go get a snack/drink but the kitchen looks a loooong way away"

Drink, drink, drink! It's the one way you can help yourself maintain your blood pressure. Try filling up a large drink bottle early on in the day and then sip at it all day if you can't be arsed to get up for regular drinks. It's really helped me. I keep a bottle by where I work to stay hydrated.
Make sure you're on a supplement with vitamin D and iron because they will help too.

Thanks - will do both of those suggestions :-)

Same here 22 weeks, still feeling sick, no energy, low blood pressure. Agree with above .. plenty of fluids, add salt to your food and put your feet up ( if you can!).
