Morning Sickness

Hi Ladies, I found out last week I was pregnant with #2... :). I'm now around 5 weeks, the thing is I feel fine no real morning sickness, just have this icky feeling then it goes once I have a drink or bite to eat.

The thing is with DS1 I could not stop vomiting, morning to evening, I couldn't even walk far because the motion made me vomit. I would brush my teeth and vomit, smell something and I would vomit....you get the picture! I know that every pregnancy is different but I'm a tad worried a) just incase something is wrong or b) because the vomiting may start again soon (I hope not)

Anyone else in the same boat? x

I've had no sickness! I've felt a bit rough in the car and have to be careful when cleaning my teeth but no real morning sickness. I don't think it's that uncommon not to! Fingers crossed that you have escaped this time lol x

I had HG with my first 3 pregnancies and was extremely ill, in and out of hospital and on various anti sickness medication untill 22 weeks with all 3.

Barely any sickness at all when I was expecting dc4 (he is now 7mths old). I was terrified something was wrong because I wasnt constantly ill. I still had nausea and was sick a few times but nothing like how I was with HG.I couldnt believe how lucky i was to have escaped feeling dreadful.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who worries about the lack of ms! I'm 7 weeks, and have had nothing at all, not even slight nausea. With DS, I felt sick 24/7 for the first trimester.

I know I should be grateful, and I am, and I know that every pregnancy is different, but on the other hand it makes me worry that something isn't as it should be... I've also been spotting a couple of times, which I didn't at all last time.

It's going to be a looooong wait until the 12-week scan!

I posted somethi similar a couple f weeks ago, wasn't feeling anything at all and was a bit worried that I didn't 'feel' pregnant.......enjoy it while you can!! It's horrendous now I can't keep anything down and struggle to keep my eyes open.
I hope you stay sick-free! Xx

I'm 8+6 btw x

nannyl · 13/12/2012 10:39

good luck

i thought the same

even said to midwife at my booking appt at 5+6 that i felt fine and couldnt believe it (had been HG for the whole 9m with #1)

at 6+1 the vomiting started and by 7 weeks i was well and truley HG again (now 12+4)

enjoy it while it lasts, and you may well be lucky and not be too bad.... or you could start going down hill in a week or so... but you might not Smile

Thanks ladies, I feel a bit better now knowing I'm not the only one. Well I'm hoping I remain sick free but a good old puke now would put my mind to rest!!! :)

Oh, I agree, Longfufu! Especially after the last week - I've been spotting and cramping on and off, I would much much rather have to deal with throwing up than this.

That's something I never thought I'd say Xmas Grin

Longfufu · 15/12/2012 19:26

Oh JBrd that sounds horrible. My SIL had a lot of spotting and she's just given birth to a healthy DD. I think if the cramping is to one side, then they say to call the doctors.

Still no sickness here really just having the odd icky moment....I'm sure next week I'll be on her complaining I feel terrible :)
