Hi

I'm booked in tomorrow am for a early scan due to having had a general anaesthetic after conceiving (but before showed up as being pregnant).

I think I'm about six weeks pregnant, and not sure what to expect with the ultrasound. Are they just checking to see if thee's a heartbeat, or can they see anything else at this stage...

Feeling nervous and sick about it, but at least it's first thing so don't have a long wait in the morning

It will prob be a transvaginal scan - hopefully all will go well and you'll see the heart beat just where you expect it :)
Good luck

I'm 5/6wk 6wk today by lmp but think I ovulated late. I had an early scan today and all they picked up was the sac although, thsts all that got picked up with ds1 at this point, everyone is different, you might see sac and yolk sac aswell as the fetus and a heartbeat... But don't be worried if you don't see much. I've gota go back in 12 days to see if anything has progressed. Good luck :) xx

Whoops, looks like I posted this twice by mistake, sorry! Good to hear from someone who has just had an early scan - I think I'm five / six weeks too. Fingers crossed...
