Been trying for a year, and today got my BFP (big fat positive - is that abbreviation used on here?) anyway I'm delighted but I'm scared as well. I don't have much experience with babies. Is this normal? Bit all over the place at the moment!

Congratulations!! I only joined here last week you soon get used to the lingo! Im 7 weeks pregnant with my 4th one and Im still scared lol! there is the worry that will the pregnancy go smoothly, then there is the labour then bringing the child up! I had no experience with babies with my first and I did just fine, In fact I wish i could go back and enjoy it all over again. Try and relax and enjoy every moment (including the MS lol) xx

Congratulations.

I joined today on here, found out I was pregnant Monday last week. I have been flipping between over joyed and scared every hour.

I have been on this site almost daily and then backed out of joining as 'scaredness' kicked in but its good to share! Xmas Smile

Thanks all. DH is excited but scared to get too excited as his cousin had at least 5 miscarriages before she carried to term.

It's good to know scared is normal though.

Congratulations!

And yes, very normal to feel scared!

Yup, totally normal reaction, especially after a long period TTC (trying to conceive). We TTC'd for over 2.5 years and I was terrified initially. In the end I came up with a mantra There is no reason to think this will be anything other than a healthy pregnancy. 21 weeks now and so far I've been proven right Xmas Smile

Congratulations! I'd recommend joining an ante-natal thread on here for other people with your due date. Really reassuring to have people are a similar due date/experience point!
