Baby movement - little shutters?

Hi, I'm almost 32wks and I feel regular kicks, punches, etc. but I also sometimes feel what I would describe as a little shutter (not hiccups, but more of a twitchy rumble if that makes any sense)

Anyone else feeling the same? I'm trying not to worry about it, and obviously will ask MW about it at my next appointment, but it's such a strange sensation that it's a bit worrisome...

I've had it in both pregnancies. Googling brings no horror stories, most explanations are that it is baby's startle reflex, or it's actually a trapped nerve in your uterus.

My midwife with DS had never hear of it and promptly whisked me for an hour of cfm, but all fine, and he's almost 2 and bright as a button. Haven't even mentioned it this pregnancy, but it is disconcerting!

I had this too and like Bunty, mentioned it to my mw who had never heard of it. In my mind, that meant it was nothing to worry about as surely they'd know if it was!

Thank you for the reassurance - I'd been avoiding Dr. Google, in case of scary stories!

I had this loads and was worried something was wrong but then got told the same as bunty said, that its the startle reflex...

I have this and was told it was normal, reflexes like what newborns have if they're startled when asleep

I get it all the time, I'm 28 weeks and all is well xx
